"Purse" is a handmade stone lithograph, printed by hand on acid-free Somerset printmaking paper made in England. The original image was inspired by the contrast of two ordinary objects, a soft leather purse "sitting" on a hard wooden chair.
Drawn on Bavarian limestone, the image was then etched and printed with black lithograph ink on cream colored paper. Limited edition of 10 prints. Once the edition was completed, the stone was ground with carborundum and water until the image was completely erased.
